Welcome to the official website of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Tirana.

The Embassy represents Türkiye in Albania, a friendly and fraternal country with which we enjoy historical, cultural and human ties.

We take Albania as a brotherly country where our sincere friendship ties date back centuries ago. Throughout the centuries, Turks and Albanians walked together. Our socio-cultural similarities reflected in language, family ties, social structure, cuisine andlifestyle, emanating from our shared history, bring our countries even closer.

Although we do not share geographical borders, we consider Albania as a neighbour from the heart.

We aim to further strengthen our political relations, which were elevated to the level of Strategic Partnership in 2021. We are in close cooperation with Albania, which is in a key position for the stability and security of the Balkans and Europe, on various global and regional issues. In this regard, we support the efforts of Albania for EU accession and sincerely wish to see Albania as an EU member at the end of this process.

In the field of economic and commercial relations, we are approaching our 1 billion Dollar target for the bilateral trade volume between Türkiye and Albania. We will also work for further increasing the mutual investments.

We encourage to enhance interaction between our peoples, contacts between our respective universities, governorates, and municipalities, as well as intensify cultural activities. We are pleased to see the interest demonstrated to Turkish and Albanian languages and cultures of our respective countries.

My staff and I are determined to do our best to further develop the bilateral relations with our Strategic Partner Albania. Your contributions will empower this process.

We will always be at your service, together with our Offices of Commercial Counsellor, Military Attache, Education Counsellor, Religious Affairs Counsellor and also with our Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), Yunus Emre Institute and Turkish Maarif Foundation.
